about me

Steve Bolton (a.k.a. SirTib) was born in 1964 in the English Midlands. He left school age 16 to work as an engineering apprentice but decided to become a musician instead. In need of a challenge he enrolled at Dartington College of Arts and studied - amongst other things - non-western music, including North Indian tabla and Balinese gamelan. In 1993 he received a scholarship from the Indonesian government to study for a year in Bali and decided to stay.

Besides English language training, SirTib also translates, plays drums, tries to play tennis, and dabbles in web design. He uses a Mac and so do his friends (.mov - 1.2mb). Despite being a busy man, the Alexander Technique helps him to keep his neck free!
